My earliest political memory is going into a curtained voting booth with my Mom while she voted. I was raised in beautiful East Tennessee - while we lived in Oak Ridge for Dad's job, my Mom was a local girl and I grew up surrounded by the blue-collar South and strip-mined mountains.
Now that I live in Alabama, I'm from AL-01 - infamous as Jo Bonner's district. Helping with Vivian Beckerle's campaign when she ran against him in 2006 was my introduction to Alabama politics.
I'm beyond excited to be a part of the 2012 DNC, and very pleased to be able to use this platform to communicate my trip. THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who helped me get here. I won't promise a play-by-play, but maybe this blog will give you something of an inside view!
